Ingrid’s research centers on portraiture from colonial Virginia and British portraiture from the late 17th and early 18th centuries, particularly the collection of William Byrd II. She brings a contemporary understanding of visual storytelling for entertainment to traditional academia with her courses, and focuses her pedagogy on the intersection of online technology with the humanities.
