Best of Term is a chance for Gnomon students creating cutting-edge work to be recognized for their achievements. Check out the top-performing students of Winter 2015.

Students that come to Gnomon do so because they want to be the best artists that they can be. To compete in the 3D, visual effects and games industries artists need to be able to perform among the top talents. There is no doubt that Gnomon students work hard, and the results speak for themselves. Check out the top-rated artworks in our Best of Term Showcase.

To reward students for their commendable efforts, each term the work submitted is judged and the best images are selected for display in the Gnomon Gallery in the annual student gallery show. The work is exhibited on the same walls that have hosted The Art of Pacific Rim and The Art of The Avengers art displays – so not only is it a boost of confidence for the hard-working students, it's also a fantastic opportunity to step away from the computer screens and have the public interact with their work.

The Grand Prize Best of Term Winter 2015 was won by Yingbiao Han. His award-winning image, featured here, came top in the Character Modeling category. 15 other students made the Best of Term cut for the Winter 2015 term from a variety of categories, including Environment Design, Character Lighting, Hard Surface Modeling, Environments for Games, Sculpture, Compositing, and many more.
