Gnomon is proud to announce the names of the many alumni that played a role in bringing the eighth game in the God of War series to life at Santa Monica Studio

It’s official: God of War is out today! With incredibly respectable ratings of 9/10 and above from some of the industry’s toughest critics, God of War for PlayStation 4 is in a league of its own. Labeled a "spectacular action game with epic set pieces, big-budget production values, and hard-hitting combat” by Gamespot’s Peter Brown, and “nothing short of a masterpiece” by IGN’s Jonathan Dornbush, it’s an honor for Gnomon to have had many talented alumni contribute to this spectacular video game.

Tackling a variety of roles at Santa Monica Studio – some of which as fresh graduates straight from the full-time Certificate in Digital Production Program – we offer a huge congratulations to the following talented alumni for their remarkable contributions across the board, from characters and environments to lighting and VFX:

“A large number of amazingly talented Gnomon Alumni were placed on the new God of War and we are so very proud!” says Den Johnson, Associate Director of Placement and Alumni Relations, and former Senior Environment Artist at Santa Monica Studio. “As one of the original God of War 1 development team members, the opportunity to help foster, grow, and place Gnomon talent at Santa Monica Studio has been a major highlight. Their achievements are a testament to what can happen when you push yourself to do your very best. These artists are now part of a legend!”

And if you still need a little more convincing before adding God of War to your library, Gamespot’s nine-minute video review may seal the deal:
