Our host, Adam Hartel, will be joined by Director of Admissions, Hannah Web, as well as our Director of Financial Aid, Chris Freeman, to answer the questions you have about portfolio coaching, applying to Gnomon, and financial aid opportunities.
After the presentation, we will host a live panel with Gnomon alumni who have worked on some of the entertainment industry’s most prominent projects in recent years. Panelists will share insight into their daily lives as production artists, talk about their individual pathways into the industry, and provide advice for artists hoping to follow in their footsteps.

Gnomon's full-time programs and 10-week individual courses are designed to develop well-rounded artists that are skilled in the diverse disciplines within 3D production. For those outside of the US, virtual classroom-style online courses are also available.
As Recruiter, Adam travels to high schools, community colleges, and trade shows to educate prospective students about Gnomon’s academic options and provide information about careers in the entertainment industry. With over two decades of experience working in nonprofit, Adam has used his skills in visual art, photography, and design to create socially conscious initiatives in collaboration with art students and professionals. He has lived and worked abroad in Norway and the Netherlands while traveling Europe as a community developer and public speaker.
As Director of Admissions, Hannah specializes in working with students to help them identify and pursue pathways to further their education and, ultimately, their career goals. She is a practicing illustrator and graphic designer, showing in galleries across California and working with a wide range of clients on a variety of freelance projects, from developing characters and logos to textiles and products. Hannah graduated from Laguna College of Art + Design in 2010 with a Bachelor of Art in Illustration.
As Director of Financial Aid, Chris Freeman brings 20 years’ experience in both federal and state financial aid as well as two years as a Compliance Auditor, reviewing policies and procedures for over 40 schools around the country. As a member of Gnomon’s Title IX committee, he provides assistance with coordinating and implementing the school’s Title IX compliance efforts. Chris has an extensive background in the entertainment business, gleaned from both his educational pursuits as well as his lifelong practice as a musician. Chris graduated Magna Cum Laude from Columbia College-Hollywood, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Film/TV editing.
Jay is a Model Supervisor at Industrial Light and Magic, specializing in hard surface modeling, texture painting and look development; he has worked at ILM for 7 years, and has 9 years of industry experience as a modeler. His credits include The Mandalorian: seasons 1 &2, Millennium Falcon: Smuggler's Run, Rogue One, Star Wars: the Force Awakens, and Transformers: Age of Extinction. In addition to his work on feature films, Jay has worked on music videos, commercials, AAA games, and amusement park rides. He is also exploring physically based rendering, VR, game development, and 3D printing outside of work.
Graduated from Gnomon's High End CG Certificate program in 2011 with a concentration on hard Surface Modeling and Texturing
Tyler is currently working as a 3D Character Artist at Wonderstorm creating characters for The Dragon Prince animated series and video game in development. Past experience includes DreamWorks, Disney Animation, Nickelodeon, Gentle Giant and The Jim Henson Company among others. He has been a part of the entertainment industry with experience in film, television, video games, commercials and collectible toys since 2013 after graduating from Gnomon School of Visual Effects in Hollywood, CA.

Alexandria is a recent Gnomon graduate and currently the lead character artist at Iridium Studios for a soon to be announced RPG now in development.
