Get ready to whip your demo reel into shape! On Thursday, March 7th, join us for an evening of portfolio-polishing tips and tricks from senior artists and recruiters from DreamWorks, The Mill, Infinity Ward, and Industrial Light & Magic as they divulge what they’re looking for in new recruits.
Audience members will discover what can help take a reel from good to great as presenters walk through portfolio and reel examples that span the spectrum from meh to magnificent. Speakers will also be diving into the nitty gritty of other parts of the recruitment process, such as need-to-know interview skills and how to shape your resume or reel to fit the position you’re applying for. The night will cap off with a moderated discussion highlighting the differences in reel requirements for jobs in feature animation, television and commercials, film, games, and more, followed by a Q&A session open to all attendees.
This event will not be livestreamed and seating is limited, so be sure to RSVP and arrive in good time to secure a place in line. Attendee check-in will open at approximately 6:30 PM, with doors opening closer to 7:00 PM. A valid Eventbrite RSVP will be required to get an event wristband.
Gnomon School of VFX's full-time programs and 10-week individual courses are designed to develop well-rounded artists that are skilled in the diverse disciplines within 3D production. For those outside of the US, virtual classroom-style online courses are also available.
