Join us on Thursday, March 4th, at 11:00 a.m. as we welcome Gnomon CCO and industry veteran Josh Herman back for another introductory crash course in 3D sculpture work. Even if you have little to no experience using 3D software, you’ll learn the fundamentals of blocking out a 3D creature using Pixologic’s ZBrush! This is a great opportunity for 2D artists approaching the software for the first time to learn valuable tips and tricks from a pro who has worked as a digital sculptor on several major films including Guardians of the Galaxy, Ant-Man, and Avengers: Endgame.
After Josh’s demo, stick around for a Virtual Info Session to learn all about Gnomon, and a detailed overview on:
Events with closed captioning are available via the Gnomon Facebook Live page.
Gnomon's full-time programs and 10-week individual courses are designed to develop well-rounded artists that are skilled in the diverse disciplines within 3D production. For those outside of the US, virtual classroom-style online courses are also available.
Josh comes to Gnomon with a decade of experience in film, television, and games. As an alumnus of Gnomon’s Certificate in Digital Production Program he has worked as a Creative Director, Art Director, and Character Designer for prestigious studios such as Marvel Studios, Naughty Dog, Legacy Effects and Cloud Imperium Games. Josh loves to “pay it forward” by teaching classes and workshops where he can help continue the education of others so they can find their passions like he did, at Gnomon. Josh is a graduate of Westwood College and has a Bachelor of Science in Animation.
Josh continues to work on personal projects exploring ideas for films, graphic novels, and tabletop games. Some of his professional projects include The Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, Thor: Ragnarok, Uncharted 3: Drakes Deception, and Star Citizen.
