On Thursday, August 22nd, discover how three visual effects artists got their start as Gnomon alumni Eevee Saucedo, Gary Tang, and Lucas Sparks take to the stage to discuss their journeys into the industry.
From their decisions to start pursuing an education in visual effects to attending Gnomon to their first jobs and beyond, Eevee, Gary, and Lucas will recount their paths to becoming professional VFX artists, all while offering helpful advice for those looking to do the same.

Attendees are welcome to join a guided tour of Gnomon before the event. The tour will start at 7pm from the check-in station. Attendee check-in will open at approximately 6:30 PM and a valid Eventbrite RSVP will be required to get an event wristband. Admission is first-come first-served and a wristband does not guarantee entry in cases that the stage reaches capacity.
Gnomon's Bachelor of Fine Arts, Certificate in Digital Production, and 10-week individual courses are designed to develop well-rounded artists that are skilled in the diverse disciplines within 3D production. For those outside of the US, virtual classroom-style online courses are also available.
Eevee SaucedoCharacter & Creature Animator, CoSA VFX
Eevee specializes in character and creature animation and is currently an animator at CoSA VFX. Thanks to her love of animation, she has had the opportunity to cultivate diverse experience creating visual effects for television, feature animation, virtual reality, commercial work, and more. Eevee recently wrapped work on the DC Universe show Swamp Thing and her additional credits include Hotel Transylvania 3, Lucifer, The Flash, and Stranger Things.
Gary TangCharacter Artist, DreamWorks Animation
Gary is a 3D Generalist with a focus on asset creation and management. He is currently working as a Character Artist at DreamWorks Animation on the upcoming series Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous and Fast & Furious: Spy Racers. After graduating from Gnomon in 2017, Gary has worked for studios such as Blur Studio, MOCEAN, and Encore, garnering credits such as DC Universe’s Doom Patrol, Titans, The Flash, Supergirl, Black Lightning, and Legends of Tomorrow.
Lucas SparksSenior Game Artist, Respawn Entertainment
Lucas Sparks is a Senior Game Artist specializing in Environmental Art. Lucas' first project out of Gnomon was working on Ready at Dawn’s The Order: 1886. From there he was able to work with companies like Obsidian and Bethesda while at The Workshop Entertainment before making the jump to Santa Monica Studio to work on the latest God of War as an environment artist. He has recently finished work on Sucker Punch Productions’ Ghost of Tsushima and is currently working on Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order with Respawn Entertainment (a dream project).
