Overview

Andrew Thompson has been a 3D Generalist since 2015. While freelancing, he animated characters and cameras, did modeling and layout, and created particle effects. He usually works in Maya, while also being flexible enough to work in Unity, Unreal, Houdini, and multiple render engines like Arnold, VRay, and Redshift. He is currently working on upcoming movies in the Avatar franchise and an Avengers sequel. He has also been able to adapt and learn proprietary software and pipelines quickly when needed, such as virtual production and on-set filming for VFX.
