Overview

Dane Allan Smith is an Executive Producer and counts Rings of Power, Star Wars: Episode VIII - The Last Jedi, Shang Chi: the Legend of the Ten Rings, and The Mandalorian as career milestones. His past work includes oversight of Unity integration and a custom VR/AR R&D cycle essential to launch Nintendo Super Park, Osaka. As founder of Daneiam Inc., and a focus on early adaptation of emergent technologies, resulted in an invitation to launch his 2008 film Battle for Terra, for debut on Apple Vision Pro as he celebrates 20 years in operation. His academic contributions include documenting field-tested solutions as a contributing author of the 2023 VES Handbook of Virtual Production and outreach via board membership at the PGA, VES, and Infinity Festival LA. Key creative contributions lead to a 2015 Oscar nomination for the stop motion feature Anomalisa. Other awards span Virtual Reality, Visual Effects, Game Cinematics, and branded entertainment strategy for clients Daft Punk RAM reissue, Zuffa Inc, and POW which introduced Marvel Comics Stan Lee to VR shot on Gnomons stage and debuted at Comicon 2016 for Google Cardboard.
