Overview

Ryan Prestridge has worked in various matte painting positions across many different studios including Rhythm and Hues, MPC, ReelFX Animation, and currently, he is a matte painter at DreamWorks Animation. During his career, Ryan has had the opportunity to work on films such as Django Unchained, X-Men: Days of Future Past, The Boss Baby, and How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World. His studio experience has included overseeing and creating matte paintings, environment technical direction on multiple sequences, creating complex digital environments, backgrounds, models, and textures. Ryan has over 30 credits to his name for projects including live-action features, animated features, live-action game cinematics, commercials, television shows, and other venues both in 2D and 3D stereo. Ryan has given many matte painting-related lectures at various universities.
