Houdini HIVE + Ignite Workshops @ Gnomon

We were honored to host SideFX at Gnomon for the Houdini HIVE + Ignite Workshops! It was a full day of creativity, technical insights, and community—from hands-on lab workshops in the morning to inspiring industry talks and a social mixer in the evening.

Attendees explored a wide range of Houdini workflows, including abstract design, FX reel critique, simulation techniques, game FX integration, and more, led by artists from ILM, SideFX, ManvsMachine, and even Gnomon alums. Afternoon talks covered fluid FX in films including Avatar and Elemental, machine learning in Houdini, real-time pipelines, cinematic production, and a panel on the future of the industry.

The event wrapped with a pizza mixer, demo reels, and prizes courtesy of Dell Technologies and SideFX.
