Join us on Monday, November 29th as we talk with concept designer Emmanuel Shiu about making a short film in just five weeks during Epic Games' Unreal Fellowship!

Emmanuel has spent 20 years in the film and games industry, but it was the Unreal Fellowship that finally allowed him to make his own film. We'll hear a detailed breakdown of what it was like to learn Unreal Engine, Premiere, and After Effects and the strategy that goes into learning new software.

Viewers will get a behind-the-scenes look at what it was like to go through the Unreal Fellowship and how Emmanuel switched back into learning mode and combated imposter syndrome, intimidation, and burnout. He'll also talk about what it's like to work in a team environment to create something that is bigger than just one person's idea.

Plus, Emmanuel will share his beautiful short film, Giselle, and discuss how creating this project was not only a technical achievement but an opportunity to create an emotional connection to a film and find closure from a personal loss.

Events with closed captioning are available via Gnomon's Facebook Page.

Gnomon's full-time programs and 10-week individual courses are designed to develop well-rounded artists that are skilled in the diverse disciplines within 3D production. For those who reside outside of the US, virtual classroom-style online courses are also available.
