We are excited to introduce a new, weekly streaming show "The Voice in the Hollow: A Filmmaking Journey in Unreal 5!"
Gnomon instructors and filmmakers Miguel Ortega and Tran Ma will provide an overview of their short film from beginning to end. Come hang with them every Friday (4 pm - 6 pm PST) to hear about the creation of their short using Unreal Engine 5. Viewers will learn about the real-time 3D tool, get an insight into the duo's production notes, and can ask questions in the chat. If you're interested in filmmaking and real-time rendering, this will be your go-to weekend kickoff!

Gnomon's full-time programs and 10-week individual courses are designed to develop well-rounded artists that are skilled in the diverse disciplines within 3D production. For those who reside outside of the US, virtual classroom-style online courses are also available.
Guest Speakers
Tran Ma
Tran has a wealth of experience in many aspects of film and commercial production, ranging from traditional methodologies such as production and character design to software-driven processes such as lookdev and modeling/texturing. She looks forward to bringing her comprehensive abilities in film design to her instruction at Gnomon.
Miguel Ortega
Miguel has a varied career working for some of the world’s leading film and visual effects studios, showcasing his talents as a visual effects artist, modeler and creature designer on over twenty games and feature films. Taking these skills further, he has begun his own directorial short film projects, handling everything from design to production.
