The Voice in the Hollow

Join us on Thursday, November 17th at 6:00 pm on campus in the Lenovo Stage for the premiere screening of "The Voice in the Hollow," the highly anticipated short film from filmmakers Miguel Ortega and Tran Ma!

Rendered entirely in Unreal Engine 5, Miguel and Tran will be sharing shot breakdowns, pipeline and workflow solutions between Unreal and Maya, Houdini, Marvelous Designer, Substance and more, followed by Q&A.

"The Voice in the Hollow" is an animated African horror fable of sisterhood, envy, and ancient evil. As resident artists and instructors at Gnomon, Miguel and Tran have been chronicling the production of the film through weekly live streams, and we can't wait to see the final result. Gnomon is also grateful to Epic Games for their support of the project through the Megagrant Program.

We look forward to seeing you at the Gnomon stage on November 17th at 6:00 pm for a meet and greet pizza, and then 7:00 pm for the event! We'll also be giving away a limited number of "Voice in the Hollow" posters and t-shirts and providing campus tours for those interested. As this will be our first in-person event in quite a while, so be sure to RSVP to reserve your spot! Note the event will also be live streamed to Gnomon's Twitch, YouTube, and Facebook channels starting at 7:00 pm.
