Overview

Students at Gnomon utilize a variety of financial assistance options to fund their education. Our Financial Aid Advisors can help you determine what you qualify for, even before applying to the program.

Domestic Students

Financial Aid | Domestic Students

Gnomon is approved by the US Department of Education to offer Federal financial aid, including Pell Grants, Work-Study, Direct Loans, and Parent PLUS Loans to those who qualify.

All students interested in seeking Federal financial assistance will need to complete the Free Application for Federal Assistance (FAFSA) at fafsa.ed.gov. Include Gnomon’s school code (040764) so that it will be sent to us for review.

At Gnomon, Federal financial aid is only available to students who are accepted and enrolled into the following full-time programs:

  • BFA Degree in Digital Production
  • 2-Year Certificate in Digital Production

For students registering for individual courses, or courses within the Foundation in Art & Design series, Federal assistance is not available, however, private educations loans are available to those who qualify.

Private Education Loans

In addition to offering federal financial aid options, Gnomon offers Private Education Loan options to those who qualify.

These loans can be used to cover tuition and estimated living expenses.

They are credit-based and will most likely require a co-signer.

International Students

Financial Aid | International Students

International students are not eligible for federal aid from the FAFSA. See below for the financial requirements for all international students and additional financial support offered to international students.

Financial Requirement | International Students

To ensure students from other countries will not have financial difficulties after they have begun their studies at Gnomon, the United States Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) requires that all international students certify that they have the necessary funds available to cover tuition and living expenses while studying in the U.S. Certification is required for each continuing year of study, based upon current tuition and living expenses. Tuition is subject to change.

Proof of funding required for the 2021-22 academic year is as follows:

  • The 2-Year Certificate in Digital Production program requires a minimum of $77,932.00 US per year in available funds.
  • The BFA in Digital Production program requires a minimum of $68,392.00 US per year in available funds.
  • For applicants bringing dependents, additional proof of financial support is required. ($5,000.00 for spouse or per child)

All International students, including Gnomon scholarship recipients, must provide proof of funding for the amount listed. Gnomon Scholarship awards may not be included as proof of funding or be used to reduce the minimum funding amount.
